VACC programs include technical assistance and counseling service for VACC registered members, special events for entrepreneurs, start ups, and small – medium sized companies.

Small Business and Corporate Buyer Partnership

Through our powerful statewide partnership system, VACC is able to develop and implement programs that help Asian entrepreneurs successfully start and grow their businesses.

In the past fiscal years the Chamber helped an average of 1,650 Asian entrepreneurs and other American business owners through:

  1. One-to-one technical assistance sessions
  2. Industry councils
  3. Match-making events
  4. Business forums and summits
  5. Statewide networking events (Lunch with the Governor)
  6. Networking receptions
  7. “Meet the Buyer” days
  8. Conferences
  9. Business education seminars/workshops
  10. Other economic development promotion events focused on VACC members’ interests and business goals and needs.

Annual Statewide Procurement Expos

Launched in 2004, our annual ProcureCon ASIA, an annual premier American Opportunity Fair, B2B Conference, and Expo, a signature VACC event, has become the Chamber’s prime event to connect our members, other emerging, women, veterans, diverse, and international businesses / suppliers with potential clients and organizations that support their enterprise growth.

The business expo last May 2014 attracted more than 500 members, other Asian businesses from all over Virginia, Massachusetts, Delaware, the Carolinas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland-DC Metro area, attendees and 50 buyers and procurement service agencies.

Annual Asian Chamber Gala

Mainstream America Supporting Asian Chamber

  • The Annual Asian Chamber Gala is the VACC’s most important signature event. It is an Asian American business and cultural development project promoting the increasing importance od “Culture and Commerce” in jobs creation.
  • The event is a gem for the Commonwealth, attracting more than between 400 and 500 high level business and political guests annually attending our black-tie gala.
  • This premier event gala is hosted at a Five Star hotel, voted as one of the leading hotels in the world, the prestigious Jefferson Hotel.
  • At our gala, businesses have the opportunity to dine with Virginia governors, connect with top officials of the White House, and network with leaders of Virginia’s Executive and Legislative branches, Virginia movers and shakers, philanthropists in the mainstream Virginia.
  • Mainstream businesses can also meet members of our other Asian chambers of commerce visiting Virginia; diplomats, ministers, and head country leaders; top embassy officials, trade and commercial attaches, other international business and diplomatic guests, global entertainers, and shake hands with only the most powerful leaders representing Fortune 100 and 500, Inc. top Fast 50 Asian companies, and Forbes best performing companies, to cite just a few.

Showcasing Commerce and Culture

The Asian Chamber Gala presents itself as an opportunity for the Asian business community highlight the importance and influence of the Asian business community in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and to promote Asian cultures.

Showcasing Leadership, Service, and Accomplishments

  • The Annual Asian Chamber Gala promotes business and community service and servant leadership while we annually reward some of the most dedicated outstanding students – many pursuing S.T.E.M education- who demonstrate academic excellence, servant leadership, and real financial needs.
  • VACC annually recognizes Asian and mainstream community and corporate and other business leaders, and most deserving students, and to celebrate the Chamber’s accomplishments with its members, sponsors, partner organizations, corporations, and the community at large.
  • The Chamber hosts a series of statewide networking event once a month in alternating them from regions to regions within Virginia.
  • These events provide valuable VACC members, Virginia business community members, professionals, service providers, VACC friends, and the public with the opportunity to meet the buyers, make new business professional connections, and expand their contact base.

Networking Events for Small Businesses

  • The Chamber hosts a series of statewide networking event once a month in alternating them from regions to regions within Virginia.
  • These events provide valuable VACC members, Virginia business community members, professionals, service providers, VACC friends, and the public with the opportunity to meet the buyers, make new business professional connections, and expand their contact base.

ASIANet and Meet the Buyer

  • Most and all of our statewide quarterly networking events  (ASIANet) and business development and “Meet the Buyer” workshop series and forums are supported by major federal contractors and larger businesses (primes) and corporations and other major organizations to help introduce new contacts and relationships to event attendees.
  • Since 2004, more than 3,500 Asian and other entrepreneurs statewide from the Hampton Roads localities in Virginia Beach and Newport News, Fairfax County, Arlington County, Loudoun County, and throughout Central Virginia localities have participated in high-energy events such as ASIANet and Meet the Buyer programs.
  • These programs are open to anyone interested in reaping the benefits of low cost networking, educational procurement sessions and buyer informational sessions designed with the needs of small businesses in mind.
  • Again, all event sponsors offer their resources and solutions that are relevant to our session’s key topics themes in an effort to enrich our business education program for small businesses.

Small Business Assistance for VACC Membership

  • Thanks to the on-going generous support of our funders and partners, the Chamber sponsors and/or co-sponsors a free Small Business Assistance program to improve the economic strength of Virginia’s neighborhood through its small businesses.
  • To this end, the Asian Chamber developed programs and opportunities exclusively to registered VACC members.
  • This technical assistance program combines small business counseling and training to foster local job creation and promoting opportunities for economic prosperity.
  • The goal is to improve and retain existing small businesses, offer guidance to inspiring entrepreneurs, introduce entrepreneurs to business certification programs, and connect business owners to international business opportunities.

    • The program goal is to strengthen the economic potentials of VACC members to help them to grow successful enterprises and create quality jobs for Virginia.
    • VACC connects its members to state and federal small /minority business certification program (8A- SWaM, DBE-Hub Zones), technical certification program (ISO-Six Sigma) and/ or to increase the entrepreneurs’ export business success.
    • The domestic and international business counseling program focuses to the inspiring Asian entrepreneurs wishing to launch successful and sustainable business.  This program is offered exclusively to VACC members only.
