 A ProcureCon spin-off event occurs before or after the ProcureCon Conference at a RVA offsite location and can take a variety of forms such as: networking receptions for potential team partners, one-on-one meetings with key buying executives, and partnership opportunities with others to host tours of your business facilities.

ProcureCon 2016 Event Recap

ProcureCon 2016  ( May 4 &5, 2016) entered a new chapter in the history of the conference with this year program reaching a global stage in both programming, quality of the audience, and this huge show many fine logistics details.  Through the personal testimonials by countless participants, the conference was a huge success greeting 400 attendants and buyers.

On May 5th, VACC members and other EXPO visited the 52 buyer’s booth, participated in state and federal business workshops, and engaged in more than 250 one-on-one match making appointments with 35 buyers.  Among many new things this year introduced at the EXPO is the Asian Pavilion of companies showcasing manufactured and robotic products made a big splash among both the buyer and supplier community.

An engaging Morning Plenary Session was headlined by four dynamic  and credible guest speakers representing top national organizations who focused their talk on the national economies, Asia Pacific Rim market growth,  and all things related to SMEs concerning with bringing their business to the next level.

During the Awards Luncheon Banquet, three (3) best Asian American business of the year proudly received their business of excellenvce awards selected by the private sector – led selection committee. They are:

  1. Harlan Lee, of Lee and Associatyes of Vienna,  Best Business of 2016;
  2. Shah Ahmad, Vanguard Award of 2016;
  3. Sunila Dutt, Esq. of Dutt Law Firm, Emerging Business of 2016 Conference Keynote Speaker Attorney General Mark Herring spoke about the important role of economic development and the close relationship between VACC and the Office of the Attorney General Office which is highly valued by all.

Our gratitude go to volunteers from University of Richmond Supply Diversity, Virginia Commonwealth University’s Richard T. Robertson School of Media and Culture, VACC Board membership, and many other organizations’ volunteers who have pulled their force together to help VACC promote networking opportunities for the small business community.

Many EXPO vendors have been able to turn connections made and translate them into business results, creating wealth among enterprises.
