BON SECOURS CARE-A-VAN
ASIAN CHAMBER AND BON SECOURS OFFER MONTHLY
FREE HEALTH CARE FOR UNINSURED ASIAN COMMUNITY
Beginning 2009 until the present, in collaboration with the Bon Secours Care-A-Van, Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce and Virginia Asian Foundation helps bring free health care for uninsured Asian community and others on a monthly basis on the third Monday of the month.
The location is at the Church of the Vietnamese Martyrs, located at at: 12500 Patterson Avenue , aty each 3rd (third) Monday of every month.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. until the clinic is full.
About the Project
This joint program aims to serve the Asian community in the Greater Central Virginia. The project was initiated by the Chairman of the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce/Virginia Asian Foundation with the support of major community groups, diverse leaders from 13 major Asian communities, and local faith based organizations.
The vision of the Asian Chamber and Asian Foundation is to help bring the Care-A-Van services out to the uninsured. The project serves between an average of 250 and 300 uninsured individuals each month.
All services are free. The Care-A-Van will provide general medical care for uninsured adults/ children.
What services are provided?
- Routine evaluation/ treatment of common illnesses such
- Respiratory infections
- Headaches, ear aches and pink eye
- Urinary tract and bladder infections
- Gastritis and heartburn
- Minor skin rashes
- Minor musculoskeletal pains
- Chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension
- All every day illnesses
What other services are provided?
- Sports physicals
- Children’s health insurance enrollment
- Health education
- Referrals to other health care services
All services are free.
There is no need to register. Just walk-in!!
