Our Mission

Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce, representing a fast-growing Mid-Atlantic and national membership in ten U.S states, with cultural roots from 37 Asian nations, is the proud voice of Asian American business. Through our iconic legacy of advocacy, we promote and advance commerce and trade while driving the growth and success of AAPI enterprises. Our mission is to advance economic growth for our AAPI community by connecting them with the opportunities, innovation, technology, resources, and partnerships needed to expand businesses, strengthen the workforce, and shape a thriving economic future.

Supporting AAPI Small Businesses

Through our long-standing legacy of advocacy, a fast-growing national business membership, we drive the growth and success of Asian American and Pacific Islanders small businesses and communities in Virginia and in nine other U.S  states  across the nation, in Maryland, District of Columbia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Illinois, Florida, and California.                                                                      

As the official proud voice of Asian American businesses in Virginia, our core mission is to connect the AAPI community and businesses with the opportunities, resources, and partnerships they need to expand their enterprises, strengthen their workforce, and shape a thriving U.S economic future.  

Since 2004, we:

Advocate for AAPI Community’s needs: Workforce diversity, data dis-aggregation, and business engagement, making the AAPI small businesses more visible in government policy

Encourage and advise Virginia Governor Offices to develop policies supporting AAPI communities (jobs, small business, healthcare, education)

Advocate for language access by the AAPI communities and immigrant businesses

Empower AAPI small businesses to gain increased access to local, state, and federal services and opportunities through our robust business education procurement, and AAPI supply chain development programming

Overall, advocate for the private and public sector to increase economic resources for AAPI-owned small businesses.

Through our powerful Business Advisory Councils, we provide local, regional, state, federal, and international government, nonprofits, NGOs, and corporate members with meaningful guidance, community connections, and strategic relationships that bridge the gap between established institutions and Diaspora Asian American and other diverse businesses in the dynamic supply chain.
